Avyukta Ayurveda

Rishikesh

Ayurveda in the Spiritual Setting of Rishikesh

Avyukta Ayurveda is a small Ayurvedic centre situated in a peaceful part of Rishikesh, in the foothills of the Himalayas. It combines traditional Ayurvedic care with yoga, pranayama, meditation and a broader introduction to the Vedic way of life.

It is particularly suitable for guests who prefer personal attention and an intimate atmosphere to the environment of a large hotel resort.

Personalised Approach

Every stay begins with a consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor. Based on the guest’s constitution, current state of health and the purpose of the stay, an individual plan of treatments, diet and daily routine is prepared.

The programme is regularly monitored and may be adjusted according to the guest’s current needs.

Ayurvedic treatments

More details

The centre offers classical Ayurvedic therapies, which are combined according to the doctor’s recommendations rather than selected from a fixed catalogue. These include:

  • Abhyanga – a full-body oil massage,

  • Shirodhara – an oil therapy promoting deep relaxation,

  • Swedana – herbal steam therapy,

  • Nasya – treatment focused on the head and nasal passages,

  • Udvartana – herbal powder massage,

  • Basti and local oil therapies for the back, neck and joints.

Panchakarma

An important part of the centre’s programme is Panchakarma – a traditional Ayurvedic cleansing process consisting of preparatory, main cleansing and post-treatment phases. Its exact form is determined individually by the doctor.

A stay of two to three weeks is generally recommended for a more comprehensive Panchakarma programme. Shorter restorative and relaxation stays are also available.
